vintage button table numbers

I have a bit of an obsession with old buttons, so it is no surprise that i love these table numbers made from simple old wooden frames, with numbers created from vintage buttons. Also loving the floral crockery, jars of flowers and old fashioned champagne glasses. xx

I am loving all the different tones of blue in these vintage plates and i'm loving the mix and match look. If you are interested in hiring these plates for your vintage party, please email me xx

striped paper straws

For my wedding I searched high and low for these striped paper straws. In the end I had to bring them in from the states. A vintage party currently holds stock of these vintage inspired striped paper straws- available in red/white, blue/white and grey/white (pictured above). Etsy store will soon be set up, but in the mean time, if you would like to purchase some straws for your next vintage party email me. xx

A lovely old fashioned event sourced via the clever folk at something's hiding in here. Such pretty prairie styled flowers and ye olde invitations. xx

another vintage wedding

Tim and Kesh's wedding is another divine wedding shot by Jonas Peterson. I especially love her non-traditional take on the bridal gown and the 50's inspired bow. xx

a country table setting

I'm a little lost for words to describe how much I am loving these table settings from Dave and Alarna's wedding. The photographs are taken by the incredible Brisbane based Jonas Peterson, who knows just how to capture any vintage party. Loving all the vintage props and vintage plates (funnily enough, i have a few of the plates pictured in my own vintage crockery collection!). xx
P.S. Happy Valentines Day

a country party

This is the Newrybar Community Hall, only a short drive from Byron Bay. It's the perfect country venue for a vintage country party. xx

Both of these shots were taken on the day of my wedding. Top image by Jonno Howell, bottom image by Esa Cooper.

flowers and pom poms

These images are from Emily and Royal's wedding, shot by the amazing feather love photography. There is something so lovely about these simple flowers and home made pom poms, some instructions on how to do it yourself can be found via Martha Stewart. xx

pastels and metallics, together at last

A pastel coloured tassel garland by the confetti system. I love the combination of pastels and metallics - would go beautifully at any vintage party. xx

These are photographs from Brian and Stephanie's afternoon spring wedding. The things I love about this wedding are its old worldly charm, the bride's simple bouquet of flowers, and ofcourse the happy dog. xx

the first post

A vintage party is a little blog about all things vintage and all things parties. The above image is of my hubby and I on our wedding day, where this whole idea began. Please peruse my pages of inspiration and email me if I can help you out with your own vintage party. xx
